Enoshima Electric Railway x Baby Star x Kaohsiung Metro wrap trains debut
The Baby Star original wrapping train ran for the first time on the Enoshima Electric Railway in August 2023. The "Baby Train" was so popular that it was nicknamed "Baby Train" on social media, and it's back again this year!
A special train with original Enoshima Electric Railway and Baby Star body wrapping and interior decoration will run on the Enoshima Electric Railway from August 2024 to the end of December 8.
Just like last year, the carriages are white and red, inspired by the Baby Star packaging. Once you get on, you'll be transported back in time! The Showa era candy store-style interior features doodles of familiar Baby Star characters that differ by generation, as well as retro advertisements full of puns. The interior is studded with ingenious details that will make you wonder, "Even here?!" and get your heart pumping, conversation flowing, and you can't help but enjoy your train ride.
They will also be showing off a train journey across the sea to Taiwan. They have teamed up with the Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation (Kaohsiung Metro), which runs through Kaohsiung, Taiwan's second largest city and a popular tourist area. Starting from September 9th to the end of December, the Kaohsiung Metro train, decorated with an original design by Kaohsiung Metro and Baby Star, will run on the Enoshima Electric Railway, which connects Japan's Shonan region, Fujisawa, with the ancient capital of Kamakura. The design of the train is modeled after the Kaohsiung Metro's light rail, so you can enjoy the rare sight of a Taiwanese-style train running through Japan's scenic tourist spots!
Baby Star "noodle character" station sign and photo spot
Baby Star has taken over not only the train cars, but even the station signs!
The seven stations with kanji characters with many strokes, Fujisawa Station, Enoshima Station, Kamakurakoukoumae Station, Shichirigahama Station, Inamuragasaki Station, Hase Station, and Kamakura Station, have Baby Star noodles on their signboards. The station signs, written in the familiar "noodle characters" from Oyatsu Company's official website, are sure to make you want to take a photo and think, "#Baby Star even in a place like this?!"
There are also photo spots where you can take pictures with Baby Star character "Hoshio-kun," Enoshima Electric Railway character "Enon-kun," and Kaohsiung Metro's popular character "Mikan Stationmaster."
そ し て,A tour stamp rally will also be held at the same time! Why not go out with your family and friends to make some memories?
