Nicolai Bergmann Hakone Gardens
``NICOLAI BERGMANN HAKONE GARDENS'' is a garden designed by popular flower artist Nicolai Bergmann.
Nicolai Bergman has been based in Japan for over 20 years and continues to propose works such as flower art and objects, drawing inspiration from Japan's unique traditions, culture, and climate.
``Nicolai Bergman Hakone Gardens'', which was born in April 2022 as a new project by him, is set in the vast land of Gora, Hakone, where nature remains untouched. The hydrangeas blooming near the entrance are reused roots left over from the flower school held in Minami-Aoyama, and have become a symbol of Hakone Gardens as a new life. Furthermore, the objects scattered throughout the garden were created by Nicolai while incorporating branches from the grounds and stones from the Hakone area, and can only be seen here at Hakone Gardens.
One of the charms of nature is that you can see different scenery every time you visit. Spring when everything is cherry blossom red, early summer when the beautiful gradation of hydrangea blooms, autumn when the silvery silver of pampas grass appears magically, and winter when nature shines in the cold. The beauty of nature in each season and the sensibility of Nicolai Bergman. resonates. There are benches and pavilions set up in various places, so sit back and enjoy the experience with all five senses.
In addition, various projects such as seasonal events, workshops, and art exhibitions will be held at the pavilion and marketplace. Every time you visit, you'll encounter new discoveries and surprises!
The park also has a Scandinavian-style cafe called ``Nicolai Bergmann NOMU hakone'' that incorporates plenty of ingredients from the local Hakone area. Enjoy sandwiches, sweets, and original drinks in a comfortable space flooded with natural light. You can also put sandwiches and drinks in picnic baskets that can be borrowed for free at the cafe and enjoy a picnic anywhere in the park.
In addition to the ``Nikolai Bergman Hakone Gardens'' limited edition flower box, there are also original goods that would make great souvenirs and gifts.
