Hakone Museum of Art

Hakone's oldest museum where you can appreciate the nature of the four seasons and precious ceramics from ancient times.
In the hall, representatives of Atsumi ware, Tamasu ware, etc., centering on "Rokuko kiln" such as Japanese ancient ceramics from the Jomon period to the Edo period, Tokoname ware, Seto ware, Echizen ware, Shigaraki ware, Tamba ware, Bizen ware, etc. Works that show the characteristics of traditional kilns are on permanent display.
またThe large garden where the moss garden and bamboo garden express the colors of the season is also a highlight.
The garden "Shinsenkyo", which has been designated as a national scenic spot, was built by the founder Mokichi Okada from 19 to 28 during the chaotic period during and after the war."Sekirakuen" where you can enjoy walking around a combination of artificial hills, mountain streams, waterfalls, garden paths, etc.; It is composed of "Bamboo garden", among which are nationally registered tangible cultural properties "Kamizanso (former Fujiyama Raita Villa)", "Kanzantei", "Nikkoden", "Hakone Museum of Art Main Building and Annex", tea room "Sangetsu" Buildings including hermitage are arranged.The natural beauty can be enjoyed throughout the year, but the fresh greenery and autumn foliage in particular are picturesque, and attract many visitors.
