Review of Suzuhiro Kamaboko no Sato

49 reviews

  • The last stop on your Hakone trip

Suzuhiro, located along National Route 1, is a tourist spot that also serves as the Odawara relay station for the Hakone Ekiden every New Year.

The spacious store is lined with all kinds of kamaboko products, but if you're not a fan of kamaboko, we recommend the gelato ♥️

There are also seasonal fruit flavors so you'll never get bored.

On the other hand, for those who are serious about fish paste, we recommend high-protein products that focus on fish protein. If you want to build muscle, this is the product for you!

The parking lot is divided into a parking lot for group buses and an underground parking lot for general use. However, the entrance to the underground parking lot may be a little difficult to find if you are not familiar with it.

In addition, the back of the store is directly connected to Kazamatsuri Station on the Hakone Tozan Railway (the second station from Odawara Station), and if you come by Hakone Tozan Bus, you can get off at the Kazamatsuri bus stop in no time.

The washrooms are also nice and clean.

  • Worth seeing

Don't think, "It's just kamaboko, right?" Instead, you'll think, "There are so many different kinds of kamaboko?"
In addition to kamaboko, there is a lot more to the menu, including meals and desserts.
    Personally, I like fried kama.

I took a day trip for the first time in a while
    My grandchildren love kamaboko too.
    I had some fun memories.
    Thank you

  • Great for souvenirs

It's the best shop for travel souvenirs.
    There are many high-quality kamaboko.

  • A reliable souvenir shop!

I always stop by here when I go by car on a trip to Hakone. On the way there, I buy kamaboko and sake to snack on at the inn, and have lunch there too. On the way back, I buy souvenirs for my family and friends, and my children experience making kamaboko next to me. There are a wide variety of souvenirs, so it's fun just to go there! I recommend it!

  • The facility was very beautiful.

I was so impressed when I parked in the underground car park and took the elevator up. The inside of the building was so beautiful and exciting.
I bought some spring limited edition items.
    食べるのが楽しみです。
If there were seasonal items, I would like to go again in a different season.

  • Knowledge about Kamaboko

We also signed up for a tour of the kamaboko factory on the day.
They also had a wide variety of kamaboko for sale and places to eat, so I really enjoyed myself.

  • The best!

I was invited by Hime Sakura and decided to stop by. It was amazing😆⤴️There were souvenirs, soba, a mountain railway cafe, and even a museum, so I changed my plans and stopped by again the next day. I drank the local beer and met the cute mascot character, Gucchan!

  • Delicious Mikura's Mini Seafood Bowl

Not only was the soba delicious, but the mini seafood bowl that you can order as part of a set was also of extremely high quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very relaxing and nice.

  • A childhood favorite

Suzuhiro's kamaboko was my mother's favorite.
This is a dish that has often been on the dinner table since I was a child.
After my father passed away, my mother entered a facility.
To be honest, I'm not in an environment where I can eat what I want, as the meals are only prepared by the facility staff.
Every week I visit my mother and bring her some of her favorite foods, but this time I bought some kamaboko from Suzuhiro in Odawara, so I'm going to go to the facility tomorrow and feed it to her. I think she'll be very happy.
I was reminded once again how lucky I am to be able to eat what I like no matter how old I am.

  • It was different from what I expected.

On the way back from my trip, I stopped by to buy souvenirs. I thought it was just a place to buy local products, but it was completely different. The things on sale were very cute, and there were even some that I wanted for myself. I'd like to stop by again.

  • Making delicious kamaboko

I had the experience of making kamaboko with my children. It was very delicious.

  • The experience is fun

We had the experience of making chikuwa and kamaboko.
Adults can enjoy it as well, and it makes a great souvenir as it can be taken home and eaten.
The waiting time for your order to be completed can be enjoyed thanks to the many shops located on the premises.

2024.12.24 It seems so (Tokyo) Women
  • It was a bento lunch but it was very delicious.

I thought it was just kamaboko, but they also had a bento box.
It was very delicious. I think it would be even better if I warmed it up.

    2024.12.19 Aya (Kanagawa) Women
  • Five female colleagues and I made kamaboko. After that...

    I made a delicious and plump kamaboko♡
However, I was so drunk that I stopped by the convenience store in Odawara Station and forgot my wallet at the self-checkout.
I reported the lost property, but I thought, "When I get it back, it'll just be my wallet and cards..."
Amazingly, five days later, Odawara Police Station called and told us that all the cash had arrived, still intact!
I am very grateful. I think that all the people in Odawara are kindhearted☺️
I didn't know where to express my gratitude so I decided to write it here.

The Minaka foot bath (free of charge), which offers a panoramic view of Odawara's nightscape, was also amazing.
It was a wonderful time, with the tourists and their manners being excellent.
We are all talking about going to Hakone next time.

    2024.12.15 Misaki (Tokyo) Women
  • Experience corner

There is a corner where you can make things by reservation.
I think it would be a good idea for parents and children to do some independent research during the summer vacation.
Of course, it's delicious when it's freshly made.
