Hand-kneaded bean paste and a commitment to handmade products
At Kinokuniya Honten, instead of relying on a bean paste kneading machine, the bean paste is kneaded by hand using the skillful techniques of craftsmen.
Even now, it is rare to find places that use this kneading method to make bean paste, and there are hardly any in the Tokyo or Kanagawa area.
Furthermore, when it comes to steamed buns, machine-making using a wrapping machine has become established nationwide, but here the manju is wrapped by hand.
"I want to deliver something really delicious", I want to thoroughly enjoy the special gems that are produced with the handmade method that keeps the tradition and the sincerity.
The kanji for "meoto" is used in honor of Benten of Enoshima Shrine.
