Kamakurabori Museum
A museum where you can meet the history and works of traditional craft Kamakura-bori, which was born in medieval Kamakura and has been carefully handed down to the present day.
In the permanent exhibition, about 50 Kamakura-bori works and related materials such as Buddhist utensils, tea utensils, and daily miscellaneous goods from the Muromachi period to the present age are exhibited.
In addition, videos of the production process are always shown in the hall, and there are also production workshops such as a two-hour sculpture experience!

A hands-on classroom where you can learn the basic method of carving Kamakura-bori, "Yagen carving," using a special chisel.
