Enoshima Sea Candle
An observation lighthouse that is also a symbol of Shonan, located in the botanical garden "Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden" at the top of Enoshima.You can enjoy a spectacular view of about 60m in height, about 100m above sea level, and 360 °.It is also popular as a great location where you can see Mt. Fuji!

  • A great chance to see a flower that blooms once every 100 years

    Small, delicate flowers of bamboo (Taiwan bamboo) were blooming.
    It is often said that bamboo flowers bloom once every 100 years, so it is quite a rare opportunity to see it in your lifetime!
    I was lucky to see the rare flowers at Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden by chance! If you have time, please come and see the rare bamboo flowers and the beautiful scenery and gardens.

    Sea Candle is the symbol of Enoshima, but when I visited it again, I was moved by the quietness and the beautiful view. I took a break at the cafe before going to the next destination, the beach and the cave, so I was able to keep my energy and energy up. I also stopped by on the way back for something sweet.

  • A stylish garden with a great view

    We arrived at Enoshima Treasure in March. We had been there before, but it was daytime and the park was lit up, so my husband and I were impressed that the atmosphere inside the park had changed so much and become so beautiful.
    There were many young couples and the weather was nice, so looking out from the observation deck made me feel refreshed. There weren't many flowers blooming, so if there was a dry garden area with succulents and cacti, I think it would be nice to enjoy it all year round.

  • The view from Sea Candle is spectacular!

    I went to Enoshima for the first time, bought a ticket to the top of the escalator, and climbed up to Sea Candle! I was so impressed to see the place that appeared in the weather forecast from Sea Candle! I also ate delicious French toast on the terrace at Ron Cafe while watching the view, and it was a very satisfying time (^^) I would like to go at night when it is lit up! It was a spectacular view, and I could see Tokyo Tower, Skytree, and even where I live! On a clear day, I heard you can see Mt. Fuji!

    The illuminations are beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The view of Mt. Fuji lit up by the setting sun before the lights come on is also amazing.

    Even though it was winter, tulips were blooming. Colorful tulips were in full bloom and beautiful. They were lit up at night, so you could enjoy the illuminations.

    I look forward to the light-up event every year. The difference in atmosphere between day and night is one of the things I enjoy. However, once the light-up starts, there are a lot of people, so if you want to enjoy food and drinks inside, you need to be prepared to line up. The view from Sea Candle is wonderful on a clear day. Personally, I think it's better to go down the stairs instead of the elevator, so you can enjoy both the view and the thrill, killing two birds with one stone.

    I went to Enoshima Sea Candle! I took the Sea Candle elevator to the observation deck and enjoyed the beautiful views of the Shonan sea, Mt. Fuji, and the city. Today was a summer day, the daytime temperature was high, and the spring sea breeze was pleasant. It was my first time to go to the observatory since it was in its current form, and there are tables and comfortable chairs around the observatory on the terrace where I ate Shonan Gold soft-serve ice cream and took a leisurely look at the wonderful ocean view. It was a great time! There were many shops selling food such as octopus crackers, various drinks and ice creams, there was also a shop selling Sea Candle goods, and there were so many new and different things. It was fresh. Since we came during the cherry blossom season, there were many beautiful cherry blossoms blooming around Sea Candle, and we were able to take many wonderful photos of the cherry blossoms and the sea!We definitely recommend using the Escar to get to Sea Candle.

  • Winter illuminations are a must-see

    I visited on a sunny weekend in February, and I recommend it both during the day and at night. During the day, it was interesting not only to be able to admire the plants, but also to be able to crawl into the ruins of the basement. The Sea Candle stands tall even during the day, but it would be a shame to overlook the mainly purple illuminations on winter nights. The large jewel-like decorations also shone in various colors, making it look like the garden was encrusted with jewels.

  • Enoshima for the first time in decades

    At the end of the year, after Christmas, I visited Enoshima, one of the three major illuminations in Kanto. For the first time in several decades, Enoshima has become a gorgeous tourist destination. The illuminations everywhere were beautiful and I was very satisfied. I was attracted by the flag that said ``It's in stock'' and ate the raw whitebait bowl, but it didn't have any smell and was really delicious.

    I was surprised to be able to see photos of Enoshima from the mid-Meiji period.
    The building was built with donations from club fans.
    Samuel Cocking's introduction video is also stylish.
    It matched the scent and atmosphere and was great!
